About the event
A "nicho" is a shadow-box shrine combining traditions rooted in Catholicism, pop-culture and indigenous artforms. Today, we create these as a tribute or celebration of those things important to us. Join us in painting your own! Options include: la Virgen de Guadalupe, a heart, Frida, etc. We will be using a combination of acrylic paints, Posca markers, and other supplies to decorate the shadow boxes and a traditional manner.
